Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
In short: this website does not collect or store your data. We receive only what you choose to send us by email or WhatsApp. We use it to reply to you and provide the sourcing services you ask for, and we never sell it.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how PivotPoint LLC ("PivotPoint", "we", "us"), a US limited liability company, handles personal information that you send us when you contact us through this website, by email or on WhatsApp. Our contact details are in Section 14.
2. What this website does and does not collect
This website does not collect, transmit or store the information you type into its contact form. It has no user accounts, and it does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, third-party fonts or other tracking technologies (see Section 11).
3. How the contact form works
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, your company (optional) and a description of what you need. When you click send, the website opens your own email app with a message addressed to hellopivotpoint@gmail.com. Nothing is sent until you choose to send that email from your email app. The message then travels through your email provider and ours like any other email. Your email provider handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.
4. Information we receive
- Email. If you email us, through the form or directly, we receive whatever you choose to include: typically your name, email address, company, a description of your needs, and any attachments (for example, a supplier quotation you would like us to review).
- WhatsApp. If you message us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and the messages and files you send.
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as financial account numbers, government ID numbers or health information). Please do not send it.
5. Where your messages are stored
Emails are received and stored in our Gmail account, which is provided by Google. WhatsApp messages are delivered through WhatsApp, a service of Meta. Google and WhatsApp (Meta) handle the messages they carry and store under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. How we use your information
We use the information you send us only to:
- reply to your inquiry and review any quotation you send;
- prepare quotes and provide the sourcing services you ask for;
- keep normal business records of our communications; and
- comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
- Chinese suppliers. When you ask us to obtain quotations or other sourcing services, we share the product information suppliers need, such as specifications, quantities and the destination market. We share your name, company or contact details with a supplier only if you ask us to or agree to it, and only as needed for that request.
- Other providers you engage us to coordinate. If you engage us for services such as inspection or shipping coordination, we share with the relevant inspection company or freight forwarder only the details needed for that service, at your request.
- Communication services. Google (Gmail) and WhatsApp (Meta) carry and store messages as described in Section 5.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or where it is reasonably necessary to protect our legal rights.
8. How long we keep information
We keep inquiry emails and messages only as long as needed to respond and maintain business records, generally no longer than 24 months after our last contact unless a longer period is required by law or a business relationship continues.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information you send us, such as limiting access to the people who need it to handle your inquiry and securing the accounts we use. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Email is not always encrypted end to end. Please keep this in mind when deciding what to send.
10. International visitors
PivotPoint is based in the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, including from the European Union, the United Kingdom or the Middle East, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country. Google and Meta may also process data in other countries under their own terms. Where you ask us to obtain quotes, the product information described in Section 7 is shared with suppliers in China.
EU / UK visitors
We process your information on these legal bases:
- to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (for example, preparing a quotation); and
- our legitimate interests in responding to and managing business inquiries.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us (Section 14).
Visitors from other countries
Your local laws may give you rights over your personal information. Contact us, and we will respond as required by the law that applies to us.
11. Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies. It loads no third-party scripts or fonts. Its only script is a small one, built into the page, that prepares the email in your email app. If you choose to contact us through your email app or WhatsApp, those services are governed by their own policies.
12. US state privacy rights
Several US states have comprehensive consumer privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. These laws generally apply only to businesses that meet certain size or data-volume thresholds, and based on our current size we do not expect them to apply to us. Regardless, if you are a US resident, you may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, and we will honor reasonable requests. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
13. Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
